LIFELONG LEARNING

Over the last two weeks a number of new readers have joined our group.  I was delighted when one of their responses to the invitation included the following, ” I always love to learn more and improve myself so, keep ’em coming!”  What a great attitude!  Within that small  sentence is a powerful message.  Learning leads to improvement!  It can lead to some other things too!

Roshan Thiran reminds us, “There is never a time in our lives when we are complete, precisely because there is always something new to discover about the world around us.”

FACILITATING ENGAGEMENT THROUGH TRUST

I hope you are having had a great week.  Remember, tomorrow is another day to excel!

So which of these quotes appeals to you?

  • “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” – William Shakespeare
  • “Trust but verify!” – Ronald Reagan
  • “Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gates to eternity.” – Khalil Gibran
  • “The best way to find out if you trust somebody is to trust them.” – Ernest Hemingway
  • “Trust is the glue of life.  It is the most essential ingredient in effective communication.

FEELIN’ GROOVY

I’ve been reading a great deal about mindfulness as a condition that facilitates creativity.  Psychology Today defines it as being, “a state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.”

Mindfulness is a hot topic.  There’s no shortage of information. We have Mindfulness Workouts (“Mindfulness Workouts Are The New Way To Work Your Body And Brain”)Mindful Leadership (“The Power of Mindful Leadership”), and even Mindful Eating  (“How Mindful Eating Can Boost Digestion and Dispel the Myth of Mealtime Multitasking”).

TRANSITION

TRANSITION!  Such a simple word, but complex in nature, with life changing power.  Think of how many transitions you have already experienced in your life, and you can begin to imagine those that are yet to come.

Good Evening, I hope you had a great weekend and are energized by the possibilities of the week ahead!  I had an interesting and thoughtful few days that served to direct much of my reading. The week gave me pause to consider the transitions that have impacted my life of late.
