This past Friday morning I had the pleasure of spending the day with an extraordinary group of young people attending the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance’s 4th Annual Young Leadership Conference.  This signature community event provided almost 300 students with the opportunity to attend presentations that enhanced their leadership skills, while also pairing them with inspiring mentors from the local business community.

WHAT GOOD HAVE I DONE

Wednesday morning a week ago I attended a workshop that considered what the workplace of 2030 would resemble. The program presenter, John McElligot, CEO of York Exponential, provided a very thought-provoking presentation entitled, “Embracing Disruption”.

Last Sunday morning as I sat in Church, our priest, Father John Francis, began his sermon with the quote above.  As the week revealed itself, more and more it became evident that his words needed action. That being said, we should strive to let this thought drive our daily actions and interactions.

This past Friday I had the opportunity to attend the Berks Fire Water and Restoration Factory’s (BFWR) Annual Open House.  BFWR is a full-service restoration company that has a sharp focus on effective interactions with insurance companies and the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Run by Ted and Lisa Lavender, the firm also has the distinction to serve as The Restoration Technical Institute, an organization that provides Knowledge, Passion, & Inspiration to restoration and insurance professionals nationwide.
