EMPATHY IN LEADERSHIP

Good afternoon!  I don’t normally share till Sunday afternoon, but this is timely……..

Earlier today I stopped by a coffee shop near my home.  It’s a small business in the community where I live.  There were about eight to ten people just sitting and discussing the outcome of the election.  This was not a planned meeting, but simply a discussion among those who happened to be grabbing a cup of coffee.   I knew some of them and met others for the first time.  

TWO IDEAS TO TRY THIS WEEK

How was your week? Did you try to give out compliments? I mentally noted people’s reaction. Some where surprised and one was even a bit taken back, however I did notice one common reaction – a smile! Don’t let it be an experiment anymore. Make it a part of your life. Embrace the Challenge!

What a beautiful weekend. It was the perfect and needed end to a tumultuous week; one which left many rejoicing at the election of our president-elect, Donald Trump.…

We have an interesting week ahead of us. On Wednesday morning we will wake-up to a new President-elect. Unfortunately, the path to this election has been one of the most divisive ever witnessed in our history. Perhaps our greatest challenge will be to look beyond the election, embrace it as a sign of a truly democratic country, and move ahead together.…
